Victoria

The Victorian clearance rate this weekend was 56 per cent, compared to 56 per cent last week and 55 per cent this weekend last year.

Enzo Raimondo, CEO of REIV reported that,"Next weekend marks the end of the first half of the year and the year to date clearance rate is 61 per cent compared to 63 per cent this time last year and 82 per cent in 2010."

There were a total of 544 reported auctions reported of which 250 sold at auction, 51 sold prior. 239 were passed in, 158 of those on a vendors bid and 4 were withdrawn.

The total action volume was $226.74 million.

There were 570 private sales reported, for a total volume of $264.41 million.

  • 331 Gallaghers Rd, Glen Waverley, $2,088,000 

The highest priced apartment

  • 3/297 Dorcas St, South Melbourne, $1,500,000

NSW

The NSW clearance rate this weekend was 60 per cent.

Tim McKinnin, CEO of REINSW reported that “Clearance rates in recent months have remained around the 60 per cent mark, with just one of the previous 12 weeks seeing a clearance rate below 59 per cent. This is a modest improvement on the same time last year, where 6 weeks recorded clearance rates of 56 per cent or lower."

There were a total of 459 auctions reported of which 179 sold at auction, 77 sold prior and 19 sold after. 184 were passed in, 31 of those on a vendors bid and 45 were withdrawn.

The total action volume was $185.99 million.

There were 511 private sales reported, for a total volume of $239.49 million.

The highest priced apartment

  • 3/10 Ocean St, Clovelly, $1,250,000

SA

The South Australian  clearance rate this weekend was 47 per cent.

Petra Sprekos, GM of REISA reported that,"With the shortest day of the year now behind us the weather will shortly begin to warm up again, although it will be another month or so before auction numbers come out of the winter lull."

There were a total of 38 auctions reported of which 14 sold at auction, 4 sold prior. 20 were passed in, 11 of those on a vendors bid and 2 were withdrawn.

The total action volume was $7.94 million.

There were 10 private sales reported, for a total volume of $4.79 million.
